National judoka Salih Yıldız finishes fifth at Paris 2024
National judoka Salih Yıldız was defeated 2-0 by his Japanese opponent Ryuju Nagayama in the men's 60kg bronze medal match, finishing the Olympics in 5th place.
In his statement to TRT Spor after the match, Yıldız said, "We came here with the hope of winning a gold medal, but it didn't happen; we couldn't get the result we wanted.
We wanted to be champions, but we'll look to the next Olympics. We need to learn our lessons," he stated.
