National weightlifter Fatmagül Çevik won 2 bronze medals at the European Weightlifting Championships, lifting 131 kilograms in the clean and jerk and reaching a total of 238 kilograms.
At the European Weightlifting Championships held in Bulgaria, Fatmagül Çevik won a bronze medal in the women's +87 kg category with a 131-kilogram lift in the clean and jerk, and also finished third in Europe with a total of 238 kilograms.
Fatmagül Çevik competed for medals on the ninth and final day of the championships held in the capital, Sofia.
The national athlete, who secured third place in Europe by lifting 131 kilograms in the clean and jerk, reached a total of 238 kilograms to win her second bronze medal.
Great Britain's Emily Campbell, who won the gold medal in the clean and jerk with a 151-kilogram lift, also became the European champion with a total of 263 kilograms.
Georgian weightlifter Anastasiia Hotfrid, who took the silver medal with a 140-kilogram lift in the clean and jerk, also finished second overall with a total of 257 kilograms.
The national weightlifters concluded the European Weightlifting Championships, which they attended with 20 athletes—10 men and 10 women—with a total of 24 medals, including 5 gold, 8 silver, and 11 bronze.
