National wrestler Yasemin Adar Yiğit secures Olympic quota!
National wrestler Yasemin Adar Yiğit has secured a quota for Turkey in the women's category for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The women's competitions were held at the European Olympic Qualifiers in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
In the women's 76 kg category, Yasemin Adar Yiğit defeated her Austrian opponent Martina Kuenz 6-2 in the semifinals, securing her ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Zeynep Yetgil in the 53 kg category, Elvira Kamaloğlu in the 57 kg category, and Kadriye Aksoy in the 62 kg category were unable to secure quotas in these qualifiers.
The final quota competitions for the Olympics, known as the world qualifiers, will be held in Istanbul from May 9-12.
