Fenerbahçe, looking to sign a number 6 for their midfield, has made significant progress in the transfer of Sofyan Amrabat.
Fenerbahçe submitted a loan offer with a 12 million euro mandatory purchase option to the Italian club, but the Italian side communicated their expectation of 15 million euros.
While Fenerbahçe offered Amrabat 4 million euros per year, Amrabat requested 4.5 million euros.
The Fenerbahçe management aims to finalize this transfer by next week at the latest.
While the transfer window in the Süper Lig ends on September 13, teams heading to Europe must submit their squads to UEFA by September 3.
