Netflix eyes Champions League broadcasting rights
UEFA is preparing to take a surprising step in the new broadcasting tender covering the years 2027-2033. According to reports, Netflix may also be involved in the tender.
UEFA has reached a new decision-making stage for the broadcasting rights of club competitions for the 2027-2033 period.
According to information reported by the press agency Press Association, a "global first pick" right is on the agenda for the new tender process, which would allow the most notable Champions League match of the week to be broadcast by only a single broadcaster worldwide.
It is suggested that the series and film platform Netflix is preparing to submit a major bid for this right.
