New projects from the TFF: Semi-Automated Offside Technology and Digital Player Information System

Turkish Football Federation President Mehmet Büyükekşi announced the TFF's new project during a program introducing the Semi-Automated Offside Technology. He made statements regarding this system, which was launched in the second half of the Süper Lig.

Mehmet Büyükekşi's statements are as follows:

"We are happy to bring to Turkey the Semi-Automated Offside Technology, which was successfully implemented in the last World Cup and the Champions League, and which we have launched for the first time in Europe after Italy. The Semi-Automated Offside Technology, which reduces the decision-making time regarding offsides from minutes to seconds, will increase the quality of the game on the pitch and minimize the margin of error."

DIGITAL PLAYER INFORMATION SYSTEM IS COMING

"Another one of our projects is to bring a digital player information system to Turkish football that will allow for searches based on positions and player characteristics from all over Turkey. Work is ongoing on this system, which is applied in the youth setups of advanced footballing nations."

"WE WANT TO MODERNIZE IT"

"As the TFF, with the importance we place on digitalization, we have ensured the digitalization of observer and representative reports, as well as professional player licenses in all leagues. Now, we have started working on the digitalization of licensing procedures for all amateur players as well. Thus, we want to bring the licensing procedures for all footballers in our country up to date with the modern era."
