New rule coming to football: 10-minute penalty for dissent!

The International Football Association Board (IFAB) is preparing to implement a practice from rugby. Football's rule-making body plans to restrict the authority to challenge the referee to the team captain only and introduce a 10-minute sin-bin rule for players who commit dissent.

IFAB also plans to introduce a rule, similar to that in rugby, that allows only the team captain to challenge the referee. This will affect the current rule that results in a card if two or three players surround the referee.

According to a report by The Times, the primary topic of the IFAB meeting, which will take place in London within two weeks, will be preventing poor behavior by participants.
