Neymar will not be able to play in the Copa América
Bad news for Brazil, one of the teams competing in the 2024 Copa América, has arrived from Neymar. It has been announced that the star footballer will not play in this tournament.
Brazilian footballer Neymar will not be able to play in the 2024 Copa América due to his injury. Brazil National Team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar stated in a press conference that there will be no rush for Neymar, who underwent knee surgery, to return to the pitch.
Noting that they hope the 31-year-old player, who plays for Al Hilal, will be ready by August 2024, Lasmar said, "We need to be patient. There is no point in skipping treatment steps or taking unnecessary risks to recover faster."
It was previously announced that Neymar, who was injured during Brazil's match against Uruguay in October and underwent surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee, would be away from the pitch for a long time.
The Copa América will be held in the USA between June 20 and July 14, 2024.
