Nigeria edges past Rwanda with a single goal, Osimhen injured
Nigeria secured an important victory by defeating Rwanda 1-0 in the 2026 World Cup African Qualifiers.
In the match played in Group C of the 2026 World Cup African Qualifiers, Nigeria hosted Rwanda.
The only goal of the match came from the foot of Toluwalase Arokodare in the 51st minute, securing the win for Nigeria.
Victor Osimhen, who started the match in the starting 11, was forced to leave the game due to an injury he sustained in the 36th minute.
Wilfred Ndidi, on the other hand, remained on the pitch throughout the match and contributed to his team.
With this victory, Nigeria increased its points in the group to 10. Rwanda remained at 8 points after 10 matches.
