No permission granted for Kenan Yıldız in the National Team

National Team captain Hakan Çalhanoğlu will not play in the prestige match against Spain due to an injury in his hand. The Turkish Football Federation decided that the player should not take any risks and allowed Çalhanoğlu to return to Milan early. This will allow Çalhanoğlu to prepare for Inter's derby against Milan.

According to a report in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus applied to the TFF for Kenan Yıldız to return to Turin early, but this request was not accepted. Kenan stayed on the pitch for 90 minutes in the Bulgaria match and will also be in the national team squad against Spain.

While it was stated that Çalhanoğlu's injury is not serious, contact has been established between the Inter and national team medical teams. The player will undergo a detailed check-up as soon as he returns to Milan.

Hakan Çalhanoğlu scored a goal and contributed to an own goal by the opposing team in the 2-0 victory against Bulgaria. However, since he is on the verge of a yellow card suspension, there was a risk of missing the play-off semi-final if he played in the Spain match. For this reason, head coach Vincenzo Montella and Çalhanoğlu decided that he would not play in this match.
