Noa Lang speaks out after undergoing surgery
Dutch footballer Noa Lang, who suffered a serious injury during Galatasaray's away match against Liverpool, has addressed his fans for the first time following his surgery.
Galatasaray, facing Liverpool in England during the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg, experienced an unfortunate moment involving Noa Lang, who started the match on the bench and entered the game in the second half. The Dutch player suffered a deep cut on his right thumb after colliding with advertising hoardings during a play in the second half and was unable to continue the match.
Lang, who was scheduled to undergo surgery in England following the injury, announced through a message shared on social media that he had successfully completed the operation. The 26-year-old footballer stated, "Bad things can happen. My surgery went well. Thank you for all your messages."
Galatasaray club also provided information regarding Lang's health status in a statement released this morning. The statement read, "Our player Noa Lang, who sustained an injury in the second half of the same match, suffered a serious cut on his right thumb, and it was planned for him to undergo an operation in Liverpool after the match, which our medical team will attend in the coming hours."
