Norwegian footballer Ole Saeter has rejected a transfer offer from an Israeli team.
According to a report by the Norwegian state broadcaster TV2, as the transfer window in the Israeli Premier League neared its end, the Maccabi Haifa club offered the Norwegian team Rosenborg 10 million kroner for Saeter's transfer fee.
"I DON'T WANT BLOOD MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT"
In his statement to TV2, Saeter explained that he turned down the transfer offer due to Israel's attacks on Palestinians, stating, "I don't want blood money in my account."
Expressing that he would not accept the offer "even if the Israeli club offered 500 million dollars," Saeter said, "Values are more important than money. Naturally, I would not accept an offer from a country considered to be involved in human rights violations."
