Galatasaray started the match at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam with the following starting 11: Fernando Muslera, Kaan Ayhan, Davinson Sanchez, Abdülkerim Bardakcı, Berkan Kutlu, Lucas Torreira, Gabriel Sara, Yunus Akgün, Dries Mertens, Barış Alper Yılmaz, and Victor Osimhen.
In the match, Victor Osimhen received a yellow card in the 38th minute, Lucas Torreira in the 53rd, and Davinson Sanchez in the 79th.
Osimhen and Torreira became suspended with these cards. Before the Ajax match, Davinson Sanchez, Dries Mertens, and Yunus Akgün were also on the verge of suspension for the Yellow-Reds.
