A notable name in Beşiktaş presidential candidate Serdar Adalı's team! Demirören and Kalkavan influence angers Beşiktaş fans

All eyes in Beşiktaş are on the election to be held on December 3. Hasan Arat and Serdar Adalı will compete for the presidency. Both candidates have begun announcing the individuals who will be on their teams. 

Adalı's post today drew attention. Continuing his efforts against Arat, Adalı announced that Hazal Kalkavan Kahraman will also be on his board of directors. 

Kahraman, who previously worked at BJK TV, is the daughter of shipowner Hakan Kalkavan. 

Hakan Kalkavan is known for his closeness to former Beşiktaş president Yıldırım Demirören. Hakan Kalkavan is also the cousin of FETÖ fugitive İhsan Kalkavan. 

The role the Kalkavan family will play in the election brings to mind the 1998 election. 

In the 1998 Beşiktaş election, FETÖ fugitive İhsan Kalkavan ran against Honorary President Süleyman Seba. 

Before the election, Seba had included Hasan Arat in his management. 

Following the July 15 coup attempt, that election was interpreted as: "FETÖ members tried to take over the club under the leadership of Kalkavan, but Seba did not allow it." 

Before the election to be held on December 3, the inclusion of Hakan Kalkavan's daughter—a close friend of Demirören and cousin of FETÖ fugitive İhsan Kalkavan—in Adalı's management has drawn backlash.
