Official announcement: The broadcaster for the World Cup has been determined
The broadcasting rights for the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches will be held by TRT. All matches of the tournament will be available to watch on both TRT screens and the Tabii platform.
The broadcasting home for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been finalized. It has been announced that all matches in the tournament will be brought to football fans via TRT screens and TRT's international digital platform, Tabii.
TRT Director General Mehmet Zahid Sobacı made the announcement regarding the matter on his social media account. In his post, Sobacı stated that the tradition of broadcasting the World Cup will continue with this tournament as well.
Emphasizing that TRT will bring all matches of the organization to the audience, Sobacı included the following statements in his post:
“The tradition that began with the first whistle blown on June 13, 1974, has not changed. We will bring the journey of 'Our Boys' (BizimÇocuklar) in football's greatest tournament and the breathtaking struggles of world stars to our nation with the TRT difference. The 2026 FIFA World Cup is on TRT screens and Tabii!”
