Official statement from Fenerbahçe regarding Mason Greenwood
Fenerbahçe Club responded to a report by journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu regarding the transfer of Mason Greenwood with a statement on its social media account.
Sabuncuoğlu had stated that Fenerbahçe made an official offer for Mason Greenwood today, approaching the 50 million Euro level requested by Marseille.
The following statements were included in the announcement made from Fenerbahçe's official social media account:
"No member of our football committee is currently conducting any transfer negotiations in France. The claims voiced on social media by journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu do not reflect the truth.
"IT HAS BECOME NECESSARY TO MAKE THIS STATEMENT"
This statement has become necessary due to the repetition and dissemination of inaccurate transfer news to the public in recent days, and the systematic attempt to mislead Fenerbahçe fans.
Fenerbahçe Sports Club does not have any issues with any media member who adheres to professional ethics and prioritizes accuracy. The communication approach we have adopted is based on openness, transparency, and mutual respect.
"FENERBAHÇE IS NO LONGER MANAGED WITH THIS MINDSET"
However, those circles that attempt to steer our club with speculation, serve unverified information as if it were true, and think that the previously accustomed order of leaking information will continue, must know that Fenerbahçe is no longer managed with this mindset.
We believe that the great Fenerbahçe fanbase will also evaluate the difference between real journalism and baseless publications aimed at creating perception in the most accurate way.
Accurate and reliable information regarding the transfer process will be shared with the public through our club's official communication channels, as it has always been."
