It is officially announced! Turkey will host the European Championship
The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) has announced that Turkey will host the 2026 Women's European Volleyball Championship.
Turkey will co-host the 2026 Women's European Volleyball Championship alongside Azerbaijan, Czechia, and Sweden. One group stage, the round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, third-place match, and the final of the championship will be played in Turkey.
Turkey previously hosted the Women's European Volleyball Championship in 1967, 2003, and 2019.

MEHMET AKİF ÜSTÜNDAĞ: "WE ARE EXCITED"
Turkish Volleyball Federation President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ stated in his remarks regarding the hosting, "Following the unforgettable tournament held in 2019, we are excited to be at the heart of European volleyball once again as a host. We are entering the tournament as the reigning European champions, and we look forward to repeating our success on our home soil with the passionate support of our fans," he said.

EDA ERDEM: "WE CANNOT WAIT"
Captain of the A National Women's Volleyball Team, Eda Erdem Dündar, said, "As the reigning European champions, we are hosting the European Championship once again. This event will be held in our beautiful country in 2026. We cannot wait to share our passion for volleyball with the entire country at home."
The countries that have guaranteed their participation in the 2026 CEV Women's European Volleyball Championship so far are as follows:

Slovakia (2023 European Championship ranking)
The other 12 teams that will participate in the 2026 CEV Women's European Volleyball Championship will be determined following the European Championship Qualifiers to be played in 2025.
