In Galatasaray, which was defeated 4-0 by Trabzonspor in the 6th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, reactions toward head coach Okan Buruk became a trending topic on social media after the match. A segment of the yellow-red fans called for Buruk's resignation following the heavy defeat.
After the match, Buruk was asked in the locker room corridors, "Are you thinking of resigning?" It was learned that the experienced coach replied to this question by saying, "Resignation? What resignation? We only lost one match, we are the leaders."
Buruk also spoke about the red card he received during the Trabzonspor match. Stating that he did not insult the referee, the Galatasaray head coach said, "I did not insult the referee at all. I did not say any bad words. I asked about the position. Then he gave a yellow card; while I was asking why he gave the yellow card, I still did not say anything bad, I never insulted him, I did not use bad language. He sent me off on purpose."
Following the heavy defeat suffered by the Galatasaray side, all eyes have turned to the reaction the yellow-red team will show in the league.
