The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has issued a message of condolence for Galip Haktanır, who was nicknamed "Kör Galip" (Blind Galip).
We have learned with deep sorrow that Galip Haktanır, one of the valuable names of Turkish football, the oldest living player of our A National Team, nicknamed "Kör Galip," has passed away at the age of 102.

The statement made by the TFF included the following remarks;
"We have learned with deep sorrow that Galip Haktanır, one of the valuable names of Turkish football, the oldest living player of our A National Team, nicknamed "Kör Galip," has passed away at the age of 102.
Galip Haktanır, who wore our Moon-and-Star jersey in a total of 6 matches, 5 for the A National Team and 1 for the B National Team, played for Vefaspor for 16 seasons during his club career.
We wish God's mercy upon the late Galip Haktanır; and offer our condolences to his grieving family, his loved ones, and the entire sports community, especially Vefaspor."
