Olympique de Marseille's new head coach has been announced
Jean-Louis Gasset has been appointed as the new head coach of French Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille.
French Ligue 1 powerhouse Olympique de Marseille has announced its new head coach following the departure of Gattuso. Marseille has reached an agreement with French manager Jean-Louis Gasset. In a statement released by the club, it was confirmed that a contract has been signed with the 70-year-old French coach.
Gasset, who has managed Montpellier, SM Caen, Istres, Saint-Etienne, and Bordeaux during his career, most recently served as the head coach of the Ivory Coast national team.
Olympique de Marseille, currently sitting in 9th place in Ligue 1 with 30 points, had previously parted ways with head coach Gennaro Gattuso.
