Only one Süper Lig club condemned the attack on Ali Koç
Samsunspor condemned the attack on Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç during the Göztepe match. Samsunspor was the only sports club to condemn the attack on Ali Koç.
During the Göztepe vs. Fenerbahçe match played in the 2nd week of the Süper Lig, Clubs Association and Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Ali Koç went to the sidelines and approached the stand where the Yellow-Navy fans were located, citing the reason that fans were not being allowed into the stadium.
At that moment, foreign objects were thrown onto the pitch from the Göztepe stands. Fatih Özkan, who had accreditation, attacked Ali Koç.
Fenerbahçe Sports Club reported that no action had been taken against the attacker and that a criminal complaint had been filed.

The events that took place in İzmir yesterday evening (August 17) have become the focus of the sports community.

Samsunspor Club published a message condemning the attack on Ali Koç.
Samsunspor's statement is as follows:
"We state that we always stand against violence in Turkish football; we strongly condemn the attack on Clubs Association and Fenerbahçe Club President Mr. Ali Koç and convey our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Specifically for the 2024/25 football season, we invite all stakeholders of Turkish football to unity, integrity, and calm."

The Red-White club became the only club to condemn the attack carried out against Ali Koç.
