Speaking to Tivibu Spor after the match, Beşiktaş players Orkun Kökçü and Emirhan Topçu responded to the words of Fenerbahçe player Archie Brown, who had said before the match, "Welcome to Kadıköy, I hope you are ready!"
Topçu commented, "Archie Brown had sent a message to our fans saying 'Welcome.' We said, 'Glad to be here.' We look forward to seeing them at İnönü. Hopefully, they will be welcome there too," while Kökçü stated, "One shouldn't dwell too much on such things. We did what was necessary, we know ourselves, we don't get involved in those kinds of things. We never will, but we look forward to seeing them as well."
