Orkun Kökçü has arrived in Istanbul
National football player Orkun Kökçü, with whom Beşiktaş has begun negotiations, has arrived in Istanbul.
Continuing its transfer efforts for the new season, Beşiktaş has reached an agreement with national football player Orkun Kökçü, who plays for the Portuguese team Benfica.
The black-and-white club, which notified the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that it had begun transfer negotiations with Kökçü, brought the 24-year-old player to Istanbul.
Orkun Kökçü, who arrived at Atatürk Airport General Aviation Terminal by private jet from the Netherlands, was welcomed by black-and-white fans. Encountering intense interest from the fans, Kökçü did not turn down their request and led a chant.

Making statements to members of the press there, Orkun Kökçü expressed that he was very happy, saying, "I have transferred to my Beşiktaş, which I have dreamed of since childhood. I will play in front of these beautiful fans. It is a source of pride for me. Because I was in the stands myself back in the day, I came to the matches. I am very happy. I will do everything in my power for this crest. We will play for the championship. With God's permission, we will experience championships. I am very excited."
The national football player then left the area in a vehicle waiting for him. Kökçü will sign the official contract after undergoing a medical examination.
