Osayi-Samuel makes statement on 'contract'
Fenerbahçe's Nigerian footballer Bright Osayi-Samuel, who will be a guest of Scotland's Rangers tomorrow in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 second leg, said they still have a chance to advance.
Fenerbahçe's Nigerian right-back Bright Osayi-Samuel stated that they need to maintain possession of the ball.
Explaining that they have analyzed the first match well, the Nigerian player said:
"When we analyzed the first match, we created many chances, and we know that if we repeat this tomorrow evening and find the same opportunities, Rangers will also come at us with counterattacks. Therefore, we must keep possession and avoid losing the ball as much as possible. That is how we might have a chance to win.
I have had major injuries this season, and I could not get playing time in some games.
The coach decided it this way, and that was a disappointment for me. I really want to do my best for this team and play. My contract ends at the end of the season, and I will talk to the president about this. They told me they would offer me a new contract."
