Hatice became the athlete to win Turkey's second silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
In her first match at the Games, Hatice Akbaş defeated Great Britain's Charley Davison 3-2, and in the round of 16, she beat Australian Tiana Echegaray 5-0.
The national athlete, who guaranteed a medal by defeating Mongolia's Enkhjargal Munguntsetseg 5-0 in the quarterfinals, had advanced to the final by winning 3-2 against South Korean Aeji Im in the semifinals.
