In the Trendyol Süper Lig, Trabzonspor defeated Beşiktaş 2-0 at home. Ozan Tufan, who scored the first goal for the claret-blue team, made statements after the match. Stating that the struggle was difficult, Ozan Tufan said, "It was a really tough match.
I think we prepared well for the match. We knew the match would be difficult. We also gave away many chances; we will work on these.
We will improve ourselves to be better. But the important thing was to get the three points in front of our fans. We are very happy about this. Scoring a goal in this match made me especially happy. We are really putting in a great effort. We are working with great dedication. We are trying to represent our team in the best way possible. I am also very happy about the goal I scored at the turning point of the match," he said.
"It is also a bit of Beşiktaş's bad luck"
Responding to a question about Beşiktaş being the team he has scored the most goals against in his career, Ozan Tufan said, "They mentioned it after the match too. I think it has become 6 goals. It really feels like a coincidence. But this is not something I prepared for specifically. After all, I concentrated on this match just as I concentrate on every match. Today, I was in the right place at the right time and the goal came. It is also a bit of Beşiktaş's bad luck, of course," he stated.
"Fabinho helps us with his experience and character"
Stating that some players were fatigued following the match they played on artificial turf during the week, Ozan Tufan said the following regarding the team's style of play and the contributions of the names in the midfield:
"We had a match during the week that we played on artificial turf. Some players, including myself, had fatigue. Normally, we try to play every match with high pressure and intensity, but when we look at the match as a whole, it was based on meeting and waiting. We also have very important names in the midfield. One of them is Fabinho. He really helps us with his experience and character. I can say he keeps us standing. We are also trying to help the team as midfield dynamics as much as we can. Our goal is to play correct and good football, and I think we are doing that well."
