Chelsea managed to reach the semi-finals by defeating Palmeiras 2-1 in the FIFA Club World Cup quarter-finals.

In the second half, Estevao from Palmeiras scored the equalizer in the 53rd minute. However, Chelsea took the lead again with an own goal by Agustin Giay in the 83rd minute and won the match 2-1.
With this result, Chelsea will face another Brazilian representative, Fluminense, in the semi-finals.
