Pelin Öztekin's 'Kavuk' and 'profanity' jab at Şevket Çoruh

Fenerbahçe fan and actor Şevket Çoruh faced significant backlash, particularly on social media, following a video that appeared to show him chanting profanities during the derby match against Galatasaray.

Perhaps the most notable reaction among the criticisms directed at Çoruh came from Pelin Öztekin, the daughter of Rasim Öztekin.

Referring to Çoruh, to whom her father had passed down the 'Kavuk' (a traditional symbol of Turkish theater), Pelin Öztekin stated, 'I am sure he would have been saddened if he had seen these images,' and expressed her reaction with the following words:

"I am fine with everything when it comes to being a fan in the stands, but I have never cursed at Şükrü Saraçoğlu or President Süleyman Seba.

Everything has its own etiquette and style. While I respect my father's decision, he would have been saddened if he had seen this. I AM SURE!

Even if founding and keeping Baba Sahne alive is a success for Turkish theater, one must also have the character of a father.

The Kavuk demands applause, not a flare!"
