Penalties finalized for Lemina, Duran, and Oosterwolde following PFDK referral

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced that 3 players were referred to the PFDK due to their social media posts following the Super Cup final played between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe on January 10.The players were referred to the PFDK without precautionary measures on the grounds of "insulting" behavior, specifically Lemina from Galatasaray, and Duran and Oosterwolde from Fenerbahçe.The PFDK has issued penalties to the 3 players regarding their Instagramposts.The committee concluded its review of the social media activity.The disciplinary process has now been finalized.

The official sanctions were published in the latest PFDK bulletin. made throughtheir posts were deemed unsportsmanlike, resulting in penalties. Lemina and Jhon Duran were fined 400,000 TL, while Oosterwolde received both a fine and a one-matchsuspension from officialcompetitions.

In a statement released on the TFF'swebsite, the following was stated:

"1- GALATASARAY A.Ş. athlete MARIO RENE JUNIOR LEMINA, regarding the GALATASARAY A.Ş.-FENERBAH match played on 10.01.2026ÇE A.S. Turkcell Super Cup match,in thepost-matchsocial media (Instagram) post, due to unsportsmanlike conduct, he is to be punished with a 400,000 TL FINE in accordance with Articles 36/2 and 35/4 of the Football Disciplinary Instructions (FDT),

2- FENERBAHÇE A.Regarding the athlete JHON JADER DURAN PALACIOS, for his actions during the GALATASARAY A.Ş.-FENERBAHÇE A.Ş. Turkcell Super Cup match played on 10.01.2026,due to hispost-matchunsportsmanlike conduct in a post shared on his social media account (Instagram), he is to be punished with a FINE of 400,000 TL in accordance with Articles 36/2 and 35/4 of the Football Disciplinary Instructions (FDT), (by majorityvote)tion)

In the samematch, FENERBAHÇE A.Ş. athlete JAYDEN QUINN OOSTERWOLDE, due to hispost-matchsocial media (Instagram) post containing actions directed at an opposing team athlete that arecontrary to sportsmanship,in accordance with Articles 36/1-a and 35/4 of the FDT, has been issued a 1-OFFICIAL MSUSPENSION FROM COMPETITION and a FINE of 400,000 TL,it was decided (bymajorityvote)."
