Pendikspor manager İbrahim Üzülmez reacts to Fenerbahçe match: 'You don't try to look cute to the fans like that!'

Pendikspor manager İbrahim Üzülmez spoke for the first time after their 4-1 loss to Fenerbahçe. Üzülmez made various statements regarding the events that took place during the match.

In his statement to Fanatik, İbrahim Üzülmez criticized Mert Hakan Yandaş for his goal celebration, saying, "You don't try to look cute to the fans like that! It is neither ethical nor moral for him to come and do something like that in front of my bench."

Continuing his remarks, Üzülmez said the following:

"As the manager of Pendikspor, I do not accept this narrative that has been pushed since yesterday. My players fought until the last drop of sweat in Kadıköy, and I thank them all. I am proud of them all. I cannot make sense of the comments İsmail Hoca made about the referee after the match. Right now, 4 of my starting XI players are at the hospital for MRIs. There is a possibility that Ndiaye, Murat Akça, and Gökcan will not be able to play in next week's match against İstanbulspor. It is as if we came to Kadıköy to lie down and the referee supported us; that is the narrative being created. I will not accept this. Dzeko's eyebrow is cut, and he receives treatment on the pitch for 6 minutes. If the referee had taken him out, they would have had to play with 10 men. The referee did not allow that. He turned a blind eye to what Mert Hakan did and said throughout the match. It is absolutely not right that Welinton was sent off. We were left with 10 men. On top of that, a penalty was awarded by VAR without clear evidence."

Üzülmez continued his words as follows:

"My team's efforts and struggle are being ignored, but if you ask them, Fenerbahçe is complaining about the referee. Pendikspor did not lose last night; it won. Fenerbahçe found its first clear chance in Kadıköy in the 55th minute. This is not being discussed. The referee gave 11 minutes of stoppage time and let them play for 15 minutes, giving Fenerbahçe all the time they wanted, and this is not being discussed."

Expressing his criticisms towards Mert Hakan, Üzülmez said, "As for Mert Hakan... I also played for a big team for years. I know the atmosphere of these places.
