PFDK sanctions controversial referee Arda Kardeşler!

In accordance with the decisions taken at the Professional Football Disciplinary Board's meeting dated 02.10.2025 and numbered 15, the following statement was issued regarding the matter: "It has been decided that Elite Referee Arda Kardeşler shall be punished with a 15-day suspension from all football-related activities in accordance with Article 40/a of the Central Referee Board (MHK) Instruction and Article 25/2 of the Football Disciplinary Instructions (FDT)."

Referee Arda Kardeşler, who officiated the match between Trabzonspor and Gaziantep FK in the 6th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig and drew criticism for his decisions, had said the following in response to the backlash:

"The TFF president calling it 'not a mistake, but a planned action' was very hurtful to me. I wish he had contacted me before saying these things. I made a mistake, but this was not the first mistake I have made. Calling it a planned action made me a target, and I was very saddened. I want the mentioned 'planned action' to be clarified.

I do not want to live with this. I am currently a target. I have earned my living from the federation for years and I work under the MHK. Therefore, it would be very misunderstood for me to comment on such things. I wish that when this statement was made, it had been considered that I also have a family."
