Praise for Arda Güler from the British press: He is an orchestra conductor

The Guardian, one of England's leading newspapers, published an analysis piece regarding the EURO 2024 Round of 16 match played between Turkey and Austria.

Watching the match at Leipzig Stadium, one of The Guardian's writers, Jonathan Liew, used the headline "Thrilling Güler conducts Turkey's greatest night in generations as he turns finisher" in his analysis.

Recalling the corner kick taken in the 59th minute before Merih Demiral scored his and Turkey's second goal, Liew pointed out that Arda went to take the corner kick despite objects thrown from the Austrian stands and performed a "military salute" toward the Austrian stands immediately after the second goal was scored.

Stating that Arda had a breakthrough toward the end of the season at the Spanish football club Real Madrid, Liew said, "We already knew everything about Arda.
