Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva made a statement full of praise for Lionel Messi, who etched his name in history in golden letters by winning the Ballon d'Or award for the 8th time in his career.
Stating that Brazil has recently been unable to produce an idol like Lionel Messi, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's remarks are as follows:
"Messi won the World Cup and the Ballon d'Or at the age of 36. Children who appear on television and then suddenly disappear should take him as an example. How many years has it been since Brazil had a true idol like Messi?"
