Premier League grants Ramadan break for Muslim footballers

WHEN THE GAME WILL BE PAUSED

It was stated that matches will be briefly paused during natural stoppages in play, such as goal kicks, free kicks, or throw-ins. It was expressed that this pause will be implemented at the most appropriate moment.

BREAK RULES CLARIFIED

The report stated that teams and match officials will decide together before the match whether a break will be taken and the approximate time of this pause. It was specifically emphasized that the break will not be used as a water break or a tactical timeout.

PREVIOUSLY IMPLEMENTED IN LOWER LEAGUES
