Premier League Player of the Season announced!
Manchester City's English footballer Phil Foden has been named the best player of the 2023-24 season in the English Premier League.
According to the statement on the Premier League website, Phil Foden won the award for the best player in the English League as a result of a vote involving fans and a panel of football commentators.
In the voting, Foden finished ahead of his teammate Erling Haaland, Arsenal's Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice, Chelsea's Cole Palmer, Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk, Newcastle United's Alexander Isak, and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins.
Foden, who has played 34 matches in the league this season, recorded a performance of 17 goals and 8 assists.
This award has been won by Manchester City players in each of the last 5 seasons. Kevin De Bruyne was deemed worthy of the award in the 2019-20 and 2021-22 seasons, Ruben Dias in 2020-21, and Erling Haaland in the 2022-23 season.
