Reaction from the Turkish Sports Writers Association regarding the trustee appointment
The Turkish Sports Writers Association (TSYD) stated in a post on its social media account regarding the appointment of a trustee to the association, "We expect our president, who was removed from his post due to baseless accusations, to be reinstated to his duty as soon as possible."
The TSYD Board of Directors emphasized in their statement that they want a free press and justice, and made the following declaration:
"We listened carefully to what Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç and Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun said at the Justice and Media Relations Panel held today.
As TSYD, we think just like the speakers and want a free press and justice.
For this reason, we do not accept the appointment of a trustee to our association, and we expect our president, who was elected and then removed from his post due to baseless accusations, to be reinstated to his duty as soon as possible."
