Championship celebration from Real Madrid: Hala Madrid!

Real Madrid, the club where national footballer Arda Güler plays, celebrated its 2023-2024 season championship in the Spanish top-flight football league (La Liga) with a magnificent event with its fans.

Real Madrid, which secured its 36th La Liga title on May 4, held the celebration with its fans and representatives of official institutions in Madrid after receiving the trophy today, as is customary in every trophy ceremony.

ARDA GÜLER EXPERIENCED HIS FIRST

Arda Güler experienced the joy of celebrating a championship in his first season wearing the Real Madrid jersey.

Thousands of fans watched the celebrations in the city center for Real Madrid, which also won the league title this season after the Spanish Super Cup.

The celebrations, which lasted approximately 5 hours, began with a trophy presentation ceremony held by the President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Pedro Rocha at Madrid's training facilities, closed to the press and the public.

The players, technical staff, and club executives then paid official visits to the Madrid regional government building and the Madrid City Hall, respectively.

Real Madrid Club President Florentino Perez, team captain Jose Ignacio Fernandez Iglesias, nicknamed "Nacho," and head coach Carlo Ancelotti met with the President of the Madrid regional government, Isabel Diaz Ayuso, and the Mayor of Madrid, Jose Luis Martinez Almeida, with the trophy won. The achievement was dedicated to the city of Madrid and the people of Madrid.

In the montage shown during the ceremonies, in addition to the goals of star players such as Bellingham, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Brahim, and Modric, Arda Güler's first league goal scored in the white-and-purple jersey against Celta Vigo was also included.

In the speeches made on the balcony of the Madrid regional government building located in Puerta del Sol, captain Nacho, head coach Ancelotti, and some players such as Luka Modric, Jude Bellingham, and Antonio Rüdiger promised the fans that they would return with the trophy by winning the Champions League final to be played against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium on June 1.

Club President Perez, referring to the long-term injuries of important players such as Militao, Courtois, and Alaba at the beginning of the season, said, "This championship is very valuable. We achieved everything we have in 122 years with humility, respect, solidarity, and fair play. It was very difficult to overcome the adversities we faced this season, and this team knew how to stand up against injuries, the worst part of football. This team overcame a situation from which there was no return. It overcame all difficulties. Now we have one more goal ahead of us. To win our 15th Champions League trophy. We will put our whole soul into bringing this trophy back here."

At the end of his speech, Rüdiger pointed to his teammate Arda Güler next to him and led the thousands of fans in the square in chanting "Güler, Güler."

ARDA GÜLER ALSO SHARED HIS FEELINGS

Making a short statement to Real Madrid television during the celebrations along with his teammate Brahim Diaz, national footballer Arda Güler said in Spanish, "It is my first time here. We are very happy. Hala Madrid."

While Arda's speaking Spanish surprised the reporter, Brahim added, "Arda is like my little brother. We are always together, we are close friends. Arda, me, Fede (Federico Valverde). We are like a family."

CELEBRATION WITH FANS

After the official ceremonies, the players and technical staff boarded an open-top bus with "36 champions" written on it, took off their suits, put on their jerseys with "champions" written on them, and went to the fans waiting for them in Cibeles Square since early in the morning after a city tour.

Nacho, as team captain, climbed the Cibeles monument for the first time, attached the Real Madrid scarf and flag to the monument as is done in every trophy ceremony, and lifted the trophy.

The players and technical staff celebrated the championship joy with their fans with songs and anthems.

Italian head coach Ancelotti sang the club anthem together with the fans, while chants from the squares such as "Modric stay with us" and "The Golden Ball belongs to Vinicius" stood out.

The police, who took extensive security measures on the route where Real Madrid's trophy ceremony was held, accompanied the team bus with mounted, motorized, and riot police units.
