In a written statement, Real Madrid Club stated that racist and hateful chants were directed at Vinicius from the stands during the Barcelona-Napoli and Atletico Madrid matches, and announced that they have filed a criminal complaint with the Public Prosecutor's Office for discrimination and hate crimes.
The Spanish club, which requested that those who made the racist and hateful chants in the aforementioned matches be identified via cameras, noted the following in its statement:
We condemn these violent attacks of racism, discrimination, and hatred that have unfortunately been carried out repeatedly against our player Vinicius Junior. Our club will continue to work to defend the values of football and sport, and will resolutely continue its fight for zero tolerance in the face of these recent heinous events."
