Republic Race to be held in Ankara

In Ankara, two major races, the Republic Race and the Presidential Race, will be held tomorrow as part of the 100th anniversary of the Republic.

According to the statement made by the Jockey Club of Turkey, the excitement of the races, which will constitute the season finale for Thoroughbred and Arabian horses, will take place tomorrow at the 75th Year Ankara Hippodrome.

The 85th Presidential Race, which will be held on a 2,400-meter turf track in Ankara at 16:00, will feature 3-year-old and older Thoroughbred horses. Thoroughbreds named Age Of Fire, Anadolu Aslanı, Burgas, Go Hero, Mister Görkem, Sönmezbey, Şanlıtay, Vincitore, Zala Bey, Altınsima, Fighting Falcon, Taylola, and Chaika will compete for first place.

The winner of this race will be awarded a prize of 2 million 244 thousand liras. Including premiums, a total prize pool of 5 million 645 thousand 63 liras will be distributed to those who place in the race.

TO BE HELD FOR THE 43RD TIME

The Republic Race, which will take place for the 43rd time this year and will be held on a 1,600-meter turf track, will feature 3-year-old and older purebred Arabian horses.

The race, which will start at 16:30, will feature horses named Başkasap, Demirperde, Sancar, Baba Balıkhan, Boğaz Çocuğu, Cancaner, Canko, Deniz Efe, Gülhatmi, Muallim Halim, Şahin Mahmut, Gözpınarı, Bozkırefesi, Hüküm, Soyluşah, and Zincir Koparak.

The winner of this race will be awarded a prize of 3 million 300 thousand liras. Including prize money and premiums, the total prize pool will be 7 million 682 thousand 183 liras.
