Response from Beşiktaş to Fikret Orman!

HERE ARE THE STATEMENTS FROM BEŞİKTAŞ CLUB:

"Following the trend that emerged at the Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting of our Club held on October 20, 2019, and in line with the expectations of our community, our Board of Directors, which took office after being elected, commissioned KPMG Bağımsız Denetim ve SMM Anonim Şirketi to conduct an investigation to determine whether any irregularities had occurred in the financial and administrative operations of our Club and the companies in which it holds shares.

KPMG completed its investigation and submitted the report it prepared to our Board of Directors on December 20, 2021. The report was included in the agenda of our Club's Ordinary General Assembly Meeting held on December 25, 2021, and our members were informed.

In accordance with the expert legal opinions obtained based on the findings identified in the report, the findings were referred to the judiciary regarding legal liabilities, and twelve compensation lawsuits were filed based on liability in various courts.

Four of these lawsuits were dismissed due to the statute of limitations without entering into the merits of the case. The reasoned decision for another case that has reached a verdict has not yet been written. The dismissed cases are in the appellate process, and the legal process is ongoing. The other cases are pending.

The KPMG report and its accompanying findings were also submitted to the Capital Markets Board on December 23, 2021, and to the Provincial Directorate of Civil Society Relations of the Ministry of Interior on March 7, 2022, for the evaluation and necessary action regarding criminal liabilities. The investigations by these institutions are also expected to be concluded soon, and the results will be shared with the public separately.

We present to the public's information that it would not be correct or legal to speak on these matters until the issues referred to the judiciary and public authorities as required by legislation are completed and reach a final judgment and conclusion."
