Rıza Çalımbay criticizes Hasan Arat's management: 'No other coach would come to Beşiktaş under these conditions except me'
Beşiktaş manager Rıza Çalımbay, who has parted ways with the club, stated on a television program he attended: 'No other coach would come to Beşiktaş under these conditions except me.'
Beşiktaş has parted ways with manager Rıza Çalımbay following their defeat to Alanyaspor in the 17th week of the Süper Lig.
While the search for a new manager continues for the Black and Whites, Rıza Çalımbay made notable remarks.
Appearing on the program 'Empati' hosted by Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan on NTV, Çalımbay stated that the Hasan Arat administration acted impatiently.
"IF THEY CALLED ME NOW, I WOULD GO"
The experienced manager, whose second stint at Beşiktaş lasted only 43 days, said, "I went that day because I am a Beşiktaş fan. I went because Beşiktaş needed me. If they called me to Beşiktaş now, I would go. I don't go there for the executives; I go for Beşiktaş."
"I AM HURT BY SAMET AYBABA, FEYYAZ UÇAR, AND HASAN ARAT"
Stating that he is not a coach for just 5-6 matches, Çalımbay said, "They themselves said, 'We are continuing with Rıza Hoca.' I am definitely not hurt by Beşiktaş. But I am hurt by Samet Aybaba, Feyyaz Uçar, and Hasan Arat."
"NO OTHER COACH WOULD COME TO BEŞİKTAŞ UNDER THESE CONDITIONS EXCEPT ME"
Expressing that he had presented his report regarding the team to both Hasan Arat and Serdal Adalı during the election period, Çalımbay said, "When they said they would continue together, I gave the team's plan and program to Samet [Aybaba]. I also gave it to the Serdal Adalı side. Both said, 'We are with you.' No other coach would come to Beşiktaş under these conditions except me."
The program featuring Rıza Çalımbay will air on NTV on Wednesday, January 10, at 21:00.
