Rıza Çalımbay speaks assertively ahead of Galatasaray match: 'We must take a point or points'

Sivasspor, which will face Galatasaray away on Saturday, May 3, in the 34th week of the Süper Lig, continued its preparations with a training session at the Vali Lütfullah Bilgin Facilities. The training, conducted under the management of manager Rıza Çalımbay, began with light jogging.

The training continued with warm-up exercises and was completed with 5-on-2 possession drills and a half-pitch practice match.

Speaking to members of the press before the training, Sivasspor manager Rıza Çalımbay began his remarks by evaluating the 2-0 victory against Antalyaspor last week. Çalımbay stated, "The Antalya match was very important for us and we played very well. The team played truly perfectly from the beginning to the end of the match. We finished the match with a good score, and we are very happy about that."

Discussing the difficulty of playing away at Galatasaray, the experienced manager said, "It is clear there will be an incredible crowd. Because they are a team heading for the championship. There is not much time left in the league anyway. We will play against a good team. It will be a match with 3 possible outcomes. We need to work very hard to take points from Galatasaray. We need to perform at least 2-3 times better than we did in the Antalya match to return with points. We already need this. We absolutely must take a point or points from there. We need to perform far above the level we have been playing at," he expressed.

Responding to a question about whether there are any injured players on the team, Çalımbay replied, "There are none at the moment. We have minor injuries. There is no one in a problematic situation, but if there are friends who cannot play, we will of course rest them. We have been playing final matches ever since we arrived. We will play against Bodrum FK next week. We will not take anyone with even the slightest injury to the Galatasaray match. We currently have no injuries."
