Robin van Persie, who once played for Fenerbahçe, has become the new head coach of SC Heerenveen, one of the teams in the Dutch Eredivisie.
40-year-old Robin Van Persie, who once played for Fenerbahçe, has become the new head coach of Eredivisie side SC Heerenveen.
Van Persie stated, "I do this with great passion and pleasure. I want to continue my development, and the coaching role fits this goal perfectly. Therefore, I am pleased with the opportunity offered by SC Heerenveen. SC Heerenveen is a very beautiful club with a rich tradition and loyal fans. It will be a great challenge to contribute to the club's sporting goals and my development as a coach."
He ended his playing career in 2019 and began working as a forward coach at Feyenoord in 2020.
