Romanian coach issues a challenge to Fatih Terim

Mircea Lucescu, who has been without a club since leaving Dynamo Kyiv, stated in an interview with AA that he preferred to reach an agreement with a club at the beginning of the season. The 78-year-old coach, expressing that the war in Ukraine had taken a psychological toll on him, noted that he is currently spending time with his family.

Lucescu expressed his belief that Fatih Terim will add color to the Greek Super League, but that his son Razvan will reach the championship with PAOK. Lucescu also recalled that he had achieved successful results against Terim in the past.

COMMENTS ON THE SUPER CUP

Lucescu also recalled that he had traveled to Riyadh for the Super Cup match at the invitation of the Turkish Football Federation, but that the match was postponed due to some disruptions in the organization. He shared his opinion, stating, "The Super Cup match should not be played outside of Turkey. In my opinion, it could be in Ankara; Antalya and İzmir are also suitable for the final. There were very few spectators at the match that was postponed in Saudi Arabia. The final match should be played in a stadium packed to the rafters with Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe fans."
