Sagiv Jehezkel welcomed on shoulders in his home country, Israel
Israeli footballer Sagiv Jehezkel (28), who was detained after showing a message on his wrist supporting Israel's attacks on Palestine to cameras following his goal in the Antalyaspor-Trabzonspor match, has been released pending trial and deported.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated in his announcement, "Antalyaspor's Israeli footballer Sagiv Jehezkel departed our country as of 17:15.
I would like to state once again that Turkey always stands with all the oppressed and the Palestinian people."
"DEPARTED BY PRIVATE JET"
Antalyaspor Vice President Alkan Evren recalled in his statement that they had excluded Jehezkel from the squad by board decision following the match they played against Trabzonspor yesterday in the 20th week of the Trendyol Super Lig due to his actions.
Evren stated that the Israeli footballer left Antalya by private jet to return to his country.
WELCOMED ON SHOULDERS
Sagiv, who left Turkey by private jet, was welcomed by a large group in his home country, Israel. Sagiv, who was deported from Turkey due to his support for Israel, was carried on shoulders by those who met him at the airport, and those moments were captured by cameras.
