Coaches in Spanish football held their annual meeting in Madrid.

The primary topic of the meeting was the coaches who have not received their payments from their clubs.

It was reported that a meeting will be held tomorrow with LaLiga, the organization to which the clubs competing in Spain's first and second divisions are affiliated, to resolve the issue, which has drawn solidarity from all coaches.

The Spanish press wrote that "if the problems regarding payments are not resolved, the coaches will threaten to go on strike, and this would be a first in Spanish football."

While it is known that coach Quique Setien has still not received his full severance pay after being dismissed following his tenure at Barcelona (2019-2020), Alvaro Cervera also experienced long-term issues while receiving his severance pay after leaving Cadiz in January 2022.
