Salih Özcan: 'EURO 2024 will be a difficult tournament'

National team player Salih Özcan made statements to the press before training.

Salih Özcan said, "Since I live in Germany, this match is a nice feeling. It will be a good test for the team. We are waiting for the support of the Turkish fans. The team's physical and mental state is good. The Germany match will be nice. We will put on a good performance."

Stating that they want to finish the group as leaders, the star player said, "Our coach Montella conducted a tactical analysis. It was good for the team. We fought well in the Croatia match. Our team is high-quality. Hopefully, we will win our last match and finish the group as leaders."

Speaking about being compared to İsmail, Salih said, "İsmail Yüksek and I are not the same type of player. We support each other well in matches. Hopefully, we will continue to play like this in the coming matches." 

The national player concluded his words by saying, "I am not looking at the next 2-3 years. I am in a good place right now. I am not experiencing any injuries. I want to put on a good performance with Turkey at EURO 2024. God knows the future. It will be a difficult tournament. The teams will also be good. As a team, we need to trust ourselves."
