Samsunspor bids farewell to Europa League, shifts focus to Conference League
Samsunspor has been eliminated by Panathinaikos in the UEFA Europa League play-off round and will continue its European journey in the UEFA Conference League.
In the second leg of the UEFA Europa League play-off round, Samsunspor faced Greek representative Panathinaikos. Having lost 2-1 away in the first leg, Samsunspor drew 0-0 at home, bidding farewell to the Europa League. With this result, our representative will continue its European adventure in the UEFA Conference League.

Returning to the European stage after a 27-year hiatus, Samsunspor was met with great interest from its fans. The match, played at the New 19 Mayıs Stadium, was attended by 26 thousand football fans, with the majority of tickets sold out.
The match was categorized as a high-risk event by UEFA. Consequently, the Samsun Governor's Office and the Provincial Police Department implemented extensive measures to ensure security. A total of 1015 police officers and 550 security personnel were on duty during the match.
