Explosive comments on Fenerbahçe from Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım! 'Let them be champions, and...'

In the 28th week of the Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe drew 0-0 at home against Samsunspor. In the 75th minute of the match, Samsunspor's Mouandilmadji was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.

Fenerbahçe, unable to find the goal they were looking for against their 10-man opponent in the final minutes of the match, suffered a heavy blow in the title race and fell 9 points behind the leader, Galatasaray.

Speaking to Beyaz TV by phone after the match, Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım made striking remarks.

"LET FENERBAHÇE BE CHAMPIONS, AND..."

Yıldırım said on the live broadcast, "I swear, I thought to myself, 'let us lose to this Fenerbahçe so the pressure on me is lifted.' Let Fenerbahçe be the champion so that the dark clouds over all of Turkey can disperse. Let the atmosphere ease, let Ali Koç relax, let Acun Ilıcalı relax."
