Samsunspor's first transfer for the new season has been announced.
Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım announced that midfielder Antoine Sekongo, who plays for the French Ligue 2 side Dunkerque—which is also owned by Yıldırım—has transferred to the Black Sea club.
Samsunspor has made its first transfer move of the new season from France. In a statement to Radyospor, President Yüksel Yıldırım announced that they would be adding young midfielder Antoine Sekongo, who plays for Dunkerque, to their squad. President Yıldırım said, 'It was not possible to reach an agreement with Olivier Ntcham. We decided not to continue together due to his injuries and inconsistencies in his performance. We parted ways because he did not accept our salary reduction offer.'

Yıldırım announced the transfer of the young and promising Sekongo as a replacement for Ntcham with the following words: 'As an alternative to Ntcham, we will add 21-year-old Sekongo, who plays for the French team Dunkerque, to our squad. He looks like a player who could become a star in the future. We also have a few more young players on our agenda.'
The president of the red-and-white team also made statements regarding the team's policy for the new season. Yıldırım stated, 'In the new season, we want to bring the average age down to the 22-24 range. We aim to build a team that runs more, is competitive, and has high potential.' This direction signals that Samsunspor will compete in the Süper Lig next year with a more energetic and dynamic squad.
